Before You GO - Daily Devotional Day 5

Updated: Aug 21, 2023

Daily Devotional

To get the best out of your daily time of devotion, be intentional about setting ample time apart to praise and worship the Lord, to read His Word, to wait upon Him and to pray. Allow Him to show you things to come and to speak to you.

Day 5

Exercise your spiritual senses...

Hebrews 5:15

But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use

have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

As mature believers we have exercised our senses to discern between good and evil. God has

given us 5 natural senses: hearing, seeing, tasting, smelling, feeling

But we must be anointed with spiritual vision. Apostle Paul prayed a profound prayer:

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,"

BEING GIVEN EAGLE'S EYES

"Lord, I want to see as You see, open my spiritual eyes and senses. Thank you for Eagle's Eyes to detect what is coming my way and give me understanding, wisdom and knowledge on how to maneuver in the Holy Spirit. "

Grateful,

Gabriele Gilpin
