Wall of Fire
"For I saith the Lord, will be unto her [God's people] a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her" (Zechariah 2:5).
Since I woke up this morning, I have heard "Ring of Fire". Immediately, I thought of the above
scripture. The Lord is the very wall of fire around His people, and He is the glory in our midst!
His protection is all around as we go forth in His name and in His glory, because His glory is in our midst. He resides in us, as His blood bought sons and daughters. This is a word of encouragement to everyone encountering fiery trials. If you walk through the fire, guess what?
Isaiah 43:2 "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze".
Pay attention to the fact, that He said, when you pass through, or when you walk through. It is
telling us, that we are walking through and not remaining in the trials.
1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you;
13 but insomuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exceeding joy.
14 If ye are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are ye; because the Spirit of glory and the Spirit of God resteth upon you.
The Spirit of glory and the Spirit of God rests upon you. As long as you suffer, because you are
living as a Christian, and not for some fleshly sin, than rest assure, His glory is upon you and your faith is tried and tested by fire. The fire of God, as a Refiner's fire will reveal all impurities. But the fire of God around us is for protection against the enemy.
We can stand in His presence and know He is a wall of fire around us and the glory in our midst!
Psalm 97:3 "Fire goes before him and burns up his adversaries all around."
Rest assured, you are protected in Him, since in Him (Jesus), we live and move and have our being!
